A Moorcroft "Blakeney Mallow" ginger jar, Art Nouveau-style pottery.
The jar was designed by Sarah Brummell-Bailey and typically dates to around 2001. It features the characteristic Moorcroft tube-line decoration, a technique where raised outlines of clay are hand-applied to create the design.The "Blakeney Mallow" pattern consists of stylized flower stalks and buds, specifically mallow or lily-like flowers, with weaving vine tendrils.
The design uses tonal shades of pink and green set against a pale purple or pink ground. It has a classic ovoid body with an integrated, slightly domed cover.
