A pair of Art Nouveau porcelain vases, produced by Amphora (Riessner, Stellmacher & Kessel) company in Austria (modern-day Trnovany, Czech Republic) between the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The front of each vase features a cluster of applied, dark blue grapes hanging from a grapevine that wraps around the body.
Each vase has a twin-handled urn form with highly stylized, "secessionist" sculptural handles that curve from the rim to the mid-body. They are finished with polychrome glazes, showing a characteristic Art Nouveau variance in color including shades of orange, brown, and green throughout.
Vases of this specific model (often identified as model #3425) are highly sought after by collectors. The style is attributed to the peak period of Austrian Art Nouveau (Jugendstil), often associated with designers like Paul Dachsel, who was a prominent designer for the Amphora factory.
