Set of four framed botanical color prints after the renowned Scottish architect, designer, and watercolorist Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
Each piece features a stylistic watercolor plant study characteristic of Mackintosh's later career, meticulously balancing delicate pen outlines with fluid, layered watercolor washes:
Top Left: Cuckoo Flower, Chiddingstone (April 1910), highlighting delicate pale pink blossoms alongside deep purple botanical details.
Top Right: Fritillaria study, depicting drooping, distinctive checkered purple wildflowers.
Bottom Left: Willow Herb, Buxted (1919), showcasing striking deep magenta flowers contrasted by a bright yellow bloom at the base.
Bottom Right: Petunia and Wild Rose composition, framed by his signature geometric cartouche block containing the text and initials.
The prints are mounted in matching traditional dark wood rectangular frames featuring a polished gold inner border filet. This gold inner accent acts as a bright visual transition between the warm, age-toned cream paper mats and the dark wood outer frames.
